# Attention Index
Like any other financial space, investor interest precedes price action. With the Attention Index, you can gauge real interest in an asset and see what other investors are feeling the most.
Attention Index monitors conversations across X, filters them by KOLs, aggregates sentiment, and maps how much mindshare each token controls and who is contributing the most to the Mindshare. It tracks mentions across social media and highlights which tokens are capturing interest, in real time. At the same time, it shows the tone of these mentions, whether they are positive, neutral, or negative. This provides a clearer understanding of the overall conversation.
On the token terminal, you can see the attention metrics, including the KOL mentions. Attention index enables investors to follow the narratives and how they evolve, and track early shifts in sentiment.
